Los Angeles

My Favorite LA Activities!

  • Laker's Game

If you're looking for a fun outing in Los Angeles, I highly recommend catching a Los Angeles Lakers game. The stadium is such a unique environment, especially given the team’s recent successes and Lebron James’ new record (yes, I kind of know basketball lol)

  • Record Store

It is likely no surprise that Los Angeles has a ton of fun record stores, after all it is Hollywood. I found this one off of Hollywood Boulevard and had so much fun exploring. They had records from all different decades, I saw a ton of older Beatles records, which was my favorite! They also have a lot of vintage t-shirts, such a great spot!

  • Stars on Hollywood Boulevard

Even though I have been to Los Angeles a couple of times, I always love seeing the stars on Hollywood Boulevard and seeing some of my favorite actors and actresses. If it is your first time visiting Los Angeles, I highly recommend spending a few minutes strolling down the street and finding your favorite stars! Bonus - pop in the record store that I mentioned up above!

  • Comedy Show

On my last trip to Los Angeles, my boyfriend took me to a comedy show at the Laugh Factory and it was SO much fun! I loved how they had a couple comedians come on throughout the night and it was a very intimate setting - so be careful, if you don’t want to get called on, make sure to sit near the back! They also had a full bar with a bunch of delicious cocktails!

  • Santa Monica Beach Walk

My favorite area of Los Angeles is Santa Monica! Every time I visit, I love to go for a walk by the ocean with a coffee! You can go down for a walk on a path in the middle of the sand or on a path a bit above the ocean - both are GORGEOUS. My suggestion is a nice walk before heading to the beach after a Sunday brunch!

  • Santa Monica Pier

The Santa Monica pier is an iconic Los Angeles spot - you can go for a quick view of the ocean before headed to the beach or go on some of the rides with the boardwalk. The pier's signature attraction is the Pacific Wheel, a giant Ferris wheel that offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica coastline

Where to Eat!

  • UOVO

UOVO is my favorite pasta place ever - I truly cannot say better things about this place. My boyfriend and I always make a point to go for lunch or dinner whenever we are in town! The best bart about UOVO is that they import all of the pasta every day from Italy, which is why it is so freaking good. I recommend getting the tasting menu, which allows you to try a bunch of their dishes instead of choosing just one, which can be quite difficult when they all look SO good

  • The Butcher's Daughter

If you have seen my NYC page, you already known that I am a huge fan of the Butcher’s Daughter - it is probably my favorite brunch place. The LA location is very aesthetic and beautiful, I highly recommend taking a walk around the area after you eat and do a little shopping! Definitely make a reservation ahead of time because it can get very busy on the weekends!

  • Bodega Wine Bar

We visited Bodega Wine Bar for brunch and OH MY was the breakfast burrito amazing. I literally ate the whole thing and was in a food coma for the rest of the day! I can also not say better things about the workers at the restaurant - I left my purse there and they recovered it super quickly and helped me get it back. I definitely want to go back in the evening and experience the wine bar!

  • SALT

If you are looking for a beautiful ocean-front dinner restaurant, I recommend going to SALT, which is located in the Marina Del Rey hotel. My friends and I shared a bunch of different plates and my favorite dish was the cod - so freaking delicious! The surrounding is also much more low key than may other areas of Los Angeles, (think: families not the Kardashians) which can be a bit refreshing!
